I've done most of the small jobs I can do.ImageImageImageJust working out the wiper conversion. Looks like I'm going to cut another hole near the motor and use the BA grommet so I don't have to splice the wires and try and fit more through the factory hole. Also allows me to keep the BA harness plug.

 I feel like it is a slight step up from that, but point taken.

True. I had the vacuum motor retro fitted units on a few cars over the years, which always worked well. For the long paddock a stick may have to do.

Peter Mallaby's two speed wiper conversion went in easily and works well.Image I agonised over drilling a 32mmhole in the firewall but it isn't at all noticeable, and the factory orifice is already chock-a-block.Image

It's a bit nondescript, so i thought of an idea to jazz it up a bit.ImageImageImage

I know it's not ideal, but I couldn't get hold of any Southwark bitter cans...

In between all the family lunches and general revelry, some progress.ImageTransmission linkage and tailshaft installed. Just need to fill with oil (always a fun job), plumb clutch and bleed.

Engine needs wiring, induction, exhaust, cooling and oil installed, before cam bedding. Then bleed brakes and run in. List is getting shorter, but now we are off to some winery and afternoon tea.

Aren't you lucky to live in an oenologist's paradise? Enjoy the wine and afternoon tea. Don't get struck by lightning.

I suspect Clay may be more a zymologist, perhaps a cicerone.

(I might have to look ciccerone up, though . . .)

We virtually never go wine tasting, but no 2s boyfriend is running cellar door at a new place.

Wiring all done, and I straightened up the booster.Image
Tacho doesn’t seem to power up, bugger.Image
New wiper washer switch was a bolt in. Just had to put 150mm tails on the switch and plug into the BA plug.

Never mind that Neil. Have I ever mentioned how I detest bleeding hydraulics?ImagePumping away and topping up the master on the clutch, only to discover it is leaking somewhere inside the bellhousing.
