Put rivnuts into the top so the outer boot can screw down and drilled holes so it can be riveted down , covered everything with seam sealer and black paint

Got a little bit more done this weekend, made up a set of MSD plug leads , nice kit but a little spendy . Got the blower belt on and found it sat awfully close to the nut in the middle of the alternator so got a longer alternator belt . A bit more wiring sorted and also got the fuel line finished . Cleaned all the crap out of the cabin area and got it ready to put the carpet back in .

Then onto the rattler, got the last of the quarter welded on - marked it up and put a 1 mm disc through it to line the donor piece to the original bit
Then tacked them together
