Thanks for that Melly, hours of fun as you will see !!

Yes but I started out down the Gemini booster route, which has the correct mounting holes. I could do another booster to suite that XC master but I am running out of time !!

Hi Billy, Yes totally depends on your engineers thoughts, its frustrating how such a process can have so many interpretations by so many people !!

You're not wrong :(

Drives me nuts that even with the same engineer the interpretation can change on two fairly similar vehicles. I'm hoping the IHRA/ANDRA inspection isn't this inconsistent.

i've found dealing with an engineer and not one of the new signatories is always better, i've never been subject to pissy stupid requirements

things i've seen and read don't hold your breath re the IHRA/ANDRA inspections dick measuring contest

Man you guys have to jump through some hoops, my master cylinder is one of those ebay chrome ones no way of seeing fluid levels and no brake fail light and there seems to be a lot of other differences you would think with Australia wide regulations everything would be standard in all states but don't get me wrong happy with the way it is over here.

ya gotta ring around and get the right person  i've never had to do any pissy requirements including the recent report on the Austin which has a HT/HG dual circuit master under the floor, though i've never understood some of the requirements a car should only have to come up to the standards of the car the running gear is out of, i doubt i'll ever engineer another car as they keep moving the goal posts, and there's currently a thing going round on facebook where NSW cars that have been sighted at car shows, summernats and social media are being called up for inspections with heavy fines and or registration cancelations if you don't show up, but i'm guessing it's the wild cars with half the engine out the bonnet and big wheel tubs which are the cars being targeted

Same old story Mick,

The historic/conditional rego has in the past has been fudged, Transport NSW is getting complaints from fellow car owners questioning some registration.

I am the club plate registrar for my group N car club and I follow the rules by the book.

It is very alarming to see a blown engine car on historic rego because it usually means no engineering has been undertake, I guess it goes down the line of non consistency once again.

It still intrigues me that in todays world of litigation that not only the owner of the vehicle would take the risk but the person handing out the rego would also take the risk.

Anyway, 4th May for my hopefully last test and inspection !!!!!!

Keep you all posted.

Greg

yeah you have a list and have ticked off his requests so should be no issues now, i've only heard of one engineer going to do another full inspection after repairs had been carried out from his first inspection

Well I'm finished all the engineer mods and underneath is done completely.

I have also installed glass instead of plastic windows in the brake master and no leaks yet in over a week, fingers crossed.

Just a couple of things to do in the interior and unfortunately no bonnet badges or special badges, they will be a while yet.

Engineer on Wednesday !!!
