So with a bit of RAG engineering the front guard is getting there in a ‘Rough As Guts’ kind of fashion.
I’ll finish welding and grind it back tomorrow.

And because my neighbors as spitting the dummy about noise… thank god they are selling and pissing off… I thought I would be respectful and and just do some hammer and dolly work on the guard and see if all of the bolts go in place.

They somewhat do and I now need to think of the bumper bar.

So the original bumper is pretty bent and it will take more time to fix than it will take to remove the bumper of George’s car in the front yard.

Forgive me Blacky but I’ll be cruising with an EK bumper bar for a while.

It’s getting to a point where I’m more or less slapping the panels on and hoping for the best.
Some GMH black on the undersides and as long as there is no rust hanging from them I’ll have to call it job done if I want to be seen driving it at nationals.
Let’s face it it can all be fixed later on if need be.

Ok so I have been tinkering with a few little job’s inbetween the large ones.

In my hands is my interior light globe holder from the roof.
I lost the little spring some how and now I’m trying to budge it back up so the switch works again.

I threw some big dollars at the repair (not) and pulled a pen apart for the spring and I’m hoping to make it fit.

Can someone please snap me a pic of their interior light so I can where the original spring was positioned please?

There is another guy selling a repair kit on ebay, around $20 dollars.
I'm not sure if it comes with the spring bit ??

I think that might be Roger Hancock and it is only replacing the Bakelite insulator Greg which goes brittle.

Trip to Dudley’s Drew, and maybe the Bakelite insulator kit.

i might have one hopefully i remember to have a look tomorrow, i just pulled the roof lining out of my car and the interior light and none of it is going back in or not any time soon and definitely not the interior light

Clay I think I could make the fork quicker than the trip to Dudley’s will take so ill just give it a crack.

Mick if your interior light is complete just leave it complete mate, no need to strip a small part out and then be holding a light that don’t work.

Will probably only take half hour to make one.
