Just the angle of the shot - when the bonnet down the spring(which is a helper spring so smaller diameter AND Ive already bent the spring posts back towards the hinge ) touches on the top of the fuel bowl - only just but it also means the bonnet does not stay up by itself - I could get the broom handle and grease it up a bit and add a Nasco Sticker I guess and remove the springs alltogether
Bit of bling on the old girl - needs some sun to improve fit and a couple embroidered patches to finish off - the fabric match to original is very good
I had two standard stitching ones made as well and have enough fabric left for another or maybe a travel bra
Hey Wal your tonno looks good mate, I like the idea of a travel bra I would probably be interested in one, my paint is two pac and being a 3 stage paint system a bugger to touch up so would be good to give it a bit of protection when driving.
The material wouldn't worry me as long as it was soft underneath.
I don't know if anybody else is making them to fit our cars so please let me know if you go ahead mate.

Trev has one on his van mate, and the Crupis have been using them for years - I think Trev had his made over east where the Crupis had theirs done so they would have a pattern already done ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hi Neil,
Car Bra Australia 0499886878 or 0499501431
Good fit, nice and soft lined underneath. Comes in limited colours.
You can have a look at mine when I catch up with you.
Only problem is restricted airflow over the radiator over 37 deg made temp go up a bit. Has mesh in front of grille to stop the bugs.
Called Sonja at Car Bra yesterday and ordered one for Frank $465 (or $495 can't remember ) delivered 5 to 10 working days apparently. They ask for a photo of the car from straight on.
Trev sent me some photos (thanks Trev) and I realised that they cover the over riders on the bumper so just sent a message to them this morning to make sure they realised that my bumper is straight without over riders and got a message straight back saying all good mine will be straight across.

Unfortunately Wal it won't be the nationals this year as much as I would like too work gets in the way, I do a lot of work for the Navy and have a 7 week contract starting beginning of June, if Nationals are in SA next year I'm going to plan to attend.
Really just want to protect the paint on the front, I drive my cars fairly regularly and as I said the 3 part paint system I have is hard to chip repair and get a good colour match so the bra will probably spend a fair bit of time on the car.
I do wish I was attending Nationals

Getting the workshop finished off in the meantime and put a deposit down on a Magnusson Supercharger for the FJ Cruiser which should happen in July Sometime which will turn the little blue Rocket into a beast from 168 RWHP to around 250RWHP on 35's - BOOOST!
