Hey guys,

Tonight I'm as happy as a kid on Christmas morning. :D
Today as expected the paint turned up. I couldn't wait to get home. Hung a heap of plastic to make a make shift
spraying area within the shed and got the car ready for painting. Only doing the firewall, door openings,
dash to start with just to see if I might be able to get away with painting it
in the shed. Thought I'd get it ready for first thing in the morning, but it was ready to go, I had a couple
of beers and it got the better of me.

Firstly a picture of how I set up the spraying area

I covered all the inside floor with plastic and masked up all the holes
I could find to try and stop any shit blowing out when spraying.
The light doesn't do the colour justice, but shit I'm happy with how it came out.

Still not sure weather I'll do the rest of the car in the shed or not,
tomorrow I'm going to rub the roof and get it ready for a coat of paint
on Sunday. If that turns out ok, then theres no stopping me.
Colour finally going on, shit I'm happy, think I'll have another beer. :D

Cheers

Hey Mal,

Got to take my hat off to you! There is no stopping you thats for sure.
Mate I've had a yellow FB ute and the colour suits it to a tee, it makes the car look bigger than what it is and with all the body mods you've done it will look superb.
I wasnt going to go to Yamba but hell I want to look at your car in the flesh.
I think Ill do a day trip just to get some motivation as well (lost it at the moment).

Keep up the good work

Regards Greg

Well worth the wait for this colour, Malcolm.......
You've got four months - and a bit - pick the day to spray it - lot of work to get back to here, whatever you are doing and how you are doing it - is just perfect...............
Love the booth - no problems with insects? - they have a bad habit of turning up on me when I get a good coat down............

You are going to enjoy putting this together - very happy to see you're getting some of what you have put into it coming back to you - I know the forum is chomping at the bit for Yamba.................. we've watched this for a very long time - just go back to your first couple of posts - just flabbergasted...

more pix, Malcolm - have my finger crossed it goes even better than the interior....if that's possible.......(don't think it can be done)

frats,

The only reason for time is so everything dosen't happen at once.
