Hi Clay, yes it looks ok in the picture on the car, but about 5mm bog over most of it. I don't know what it would cost to get it done properly. Plenty of time to get a quote or track down another one. It looks like art. Might be worth a fortune.

Waiting for sound deadener to dry on rear doors today. Good luck to the next person to repair them.
Started bottom rust repair on front passenger guard. Rares patch is much wider than original and means I have to unpick welds on it and resize end piece. Still better than having to make them.

Not perfect Blacky, but much better to work with the curves already made I think. The bit I didn't show was that the inside wheel arch lip is also not right and a flat strip has to be added to make the lip the same size as the original. Just a bit of flat to be tacked on and curved to suit, but a bit of extra work nonetheless. The good parts are that the whole panel curves properly and the trim lines match ok. The other positive was that while the patch doesn't have the mounting nuts/holes on it, by cutting off the end and replacing it with the original piece I also got the mounting holes in the right place. It'll end up ok.

Yuk.
Mine worked ok at the bottom holes. Just had to blend the lip. The guards never had captive nuts st the bottom, st least I h@ve never seen it. Always 7/16 head bolt and nut with small mudguard washer top and bottom.
Looking good but a challenge ahead. That top rear is the hardest rust repair in my book.

Thanks Stephen much appreciated, I think its going OK.
Rainy and cold here so worked on another rusty door. Have a perfect EK door to use if I stuff it up, but prefer to use the originals if I can.
Rust on top front and underneath, and a bit more on lower front.
Pics of progress. More stiches than a Hong Kong tailor Will finish and post final pics tomorrow. Hope to have all panel rust finished in Oct, painted and buffed in Nov and reassemble in Dec. We'll see....

Was going to make smart-arse observation that what looks like a rust hole in the door frame at the right-angle bend in fact isn't, but I see you didn't fill it in with the hot-metal-glue-gun.

Drain hole, so that when you parked the car facing uphill on a wet day and opened the door, only a tablespoon of water went into the cabin, rather than a cupful. That was just before banging your knee.

I think it was a little drain tube (maybe).
