I'd mail you some washers, but the Aussie Post Melbourne sorting centre is constipated. Sent some wiper parts out for a 2-speed modification, and they have been having a holiday in the sorting centre for the last fortnight.

If you've got the dimensions, I can throw some in the NASCO box.

Cheers,

Acouple of little tweaks and it’s a fire up - the inside belt might just touch the water pump pulley housing but they are spinning same direction so shouldn’t be a problem - belts are hard to get on but cant make them longer ImageImageImageImage

Nup - it’s just the stock plate one - if it becomes an issue I could get a custom one made

Think i just got what you meant - ignore the belt on left its just sitting there - its the belt closest to the motor that will touch the black fan pulley hub

Getting closer.

There's not much meat in the fan pulley hub to cut a groove.

Can you swing the tensioner the other way (push downwards)?

No the alternator arm is there - unless I machine a bit out of the back of the arm - might work

Tensioner will only work when it's on the "slack" side of the drive belt, which I'm guessing, from the direction of crankshaft rotation, will be on the driver's side (belt moving upwards).

Yes that would be the top side Rob as crank shaft is the drive and turns clockwise when you look from front of car - is that because of belt slap?

Yes. That's what I mean. There's much more tension on the left hand side of the belt (otherwise there'd be no power transfer to the blower), and a belt tensioner on this side will have next to no effect because the belt is already under lots of tension. So the tensioner has to go on the "slappy" side.
