This one was hard to turn and I thought it may be the rubber but it was the fibre material. I'm thinking this was saturated with oil to lube it for life.

Now I know whats inside I dunked the other two I have in an oil bath, I'll see if they free up ??

Thanks for the pic Greg. One of those things I’ve always wondered about what was inside but never bothered to pull apart.

I normally use cable ties that fall in my ute at work 😎
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Well there is light and the end of the tunnel !!!

Got my interior back yesterday and I have a couple of tiny jobs to finish then it can go in.

I will take pictures after the interior is finished cause I went abstract with the colour and I reckon it will look its best in the car.

Anyone in Sydney who is looking for a trimmer should visit The Little Trimmer in Castle Hill, knows his stuff with FB's and EK's and is very reasonable with price. ( This is with non genuine material of course ).

Ok,

Got the carpets in and the rear seat, colour looks Ok, maybe in my mind only ! I might take it out again and glue down the wheel arch trims, get rid of the wrinkles.

Once the door trims go on it will change the look of it again.

Hopefully front seats, belts will go in tomorrow.

That trim colour really suits the car. Can’t wait to see the front bench and door cards.

Keeping the inside as clean and accessory free as possible.

Need to put the side covers on the seat runners but have to paint them when the weather fines up.

Car still sitting level but still have some weight to go on, side windows, chrome guards etc.

You get forgiven for the buckets, because the colour is awesome.

Is that a Lokar shifter? Does the centre button act to override the detents, or is it for something else (ahem, cough....... giggle gas....).

Thanks Harv,
Yes it is a LOKAR shifter, push the centre button down for the detents. Not for something else, no nitrous on this old girl !!!!! If that's what you meant
