Yep I thought well worth the coin - cant get the ones in front of the window but others work real well

Nutserts maybe? Better wait for the paint to harden.

As long as those holes are tight they dont move much - i had mine tacked up before paint so they were solid

The lift-a-dot posts behind the rear window are under a lot of stretch.... sikaflex will struggle. The panel is blind... cannot get behind it for a nut. Drill them out, nutsert them, and use the threaded lift-a-dot posts. Can send you some stainless nutserts in the right thread (metric) if needs be.

Cheers,
Harv

Hi Clay, things are taking a while to get here from overseas at the moment...maybe this place has what you need. Patrick

Hey Errol

Another option https://img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/82d345 ... 4065210917

from https://rageem.com.au/catalogues

Will take the self tapper threads

I still prefer the idea of the machine thread and nylocs though, but this site does appear to have some interesting stuff just the same

Had quick look thanks Dave. Those self tap plates would be the go except along the front. Yes indeedy they have great stuff. I noticed the guard spear spring clips in a quick troll.

Been getting a lot of help with ideas here. This forum is the best. Thanks all.

Thoroughly enjoying this resto Clay. The old girl certainly went to good hands. Well done. I'm sure you would have seen this on Gumtree Image

Good weather arrived. I decided I needed another three coats of colour on the shell before I paint the dash, so will have to cross my fingers for another opportunity. Anyway, some more fresh paint photos, why not?Image

Still managed to get some dry tracks on the roof, and a fine peel.Image
Plenty of paint on it now at least.

Decided I could still paint the dash today s nd got four nice costs on it as well as th e engine bay, speaker grille and quarter vent uprights. I saved enough I hope of the litre to do the guard black outs.
