Bloody hell to many good looking originals I better save the day for us hot rodders

Finished the front end completely today, thank god for that !!!!

So its UC Torana with offset upper arms, extended Camaro top ball joints, HZ stubs with Harrop steering arms and Leyland discs. HQ steel PBR callipers, Pedders standard height V8 springs and shitty Monroe shocks ( they just don't feel right when I bled them to soft I reckon.)

Greg, what is your front track width wheel face to wheel face with that setup mate ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hi Blacky,

Funny you should ask that cause I measured it today for the first time, it was pretty rough no wheel alignment yet but around 1400mm.( wheel mounting face to face )

Major disaster yesterday my son and I thought yep its time to throw the donk in but unfortunately a major fail.

When I built the exhaust I had the motor in an out several times and I just couldn't work out what the issue was this time around, it just wouldn't fit in.

So after a lot of swearing and cursing (especially because of scratching the new ceramic coated headers) we abandoned play. After looking back at some photos I suddenly realised that the sump that I used to build the pipes with the motor out doesn't fit between the gaps of the pipes ARGGGGGHHHHHH. So I am going back to a standard sump without the wings today and try again.

dammit, that sucks Greg!

I imagine you've tried everything to make it fit the way it is... is the high volume sump specced for a reason? Are you planning on racing this car like the Stude?
