I dont think I have seen this thread before ?????
EKFANPAUL , that pink EK used to live in Leinster, a town about 350km north of Kalgoorlie. He hit a roo in it and had a hell of a job getting the flames redone
my ute before -
and after -
my first one , Shake Rattle and Roll
My '57
my '46
The Monaro
and the Harley
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hey Blacky,
was "Shake Rattle & Roll" a copy of the Gazard Boys EK out of the movie Running on Empty?

Yeah, I wish I had that Pink EK back. I re-did just about everything on the car and she went well
If just for the fact that John Katsanis did the flame job on it for me - and frenched the aerial amongst other little things
I remember John saying 'Leave it to me" - everyone loved the flame job. A couple of 57 chev owners copied it after they saw the color scheme.
The gauge panel in the top of the dash was made by Ansett Aircraft Engineers in a 'quiet moment'
Rod Hadfield did the 4 speed conversion / and the seat mod. in it too
Parts bought for me (When I was broke and used it as a back-up car to get to work) by good mate who has been deceased since 2001
So there is a lot of mine & Aussie history in that car

Gents,
This is a good thread, can we revive it with cars as of today ?
I’ll get the ball rolling.

Hmm. Why is it upside down? Anyone know how to fix that?
