If I wait till then I’ll forget Joe. Simply upgrading steering linkage to HD HR which is said to be both stronger and more precise and bolts straight up to FE - EH and possibly humpy steering arms sector shaft and idler support. Monroe gas shocks. Steering box brace.

Easy, thanks. So you are still running the EK idler arm?

Zero play and can’t pump grease in evenImage
Now it is obvious why the one thread was tight. The tube has had a whack and thread inside is pushed inImageSo I am replacing it with one of the original ones.

The old linkages still look relatively serviceable. Just a matter of robbing less worn bits from the spare lot. They are basically a ball joint with serviceable cupsImage

Looks like you worked it out Glen.

See above I’ve got a good idler arm sorted. Marinating drag links in kero then I will pump some grease through to clean out the joint. The one you gave me looks the best. Just a matter of waiting for the new bits.

Got some wheel nuts coming so I can fit the 13x6 magnums. Assuming they are legal track they should be okay for rego.

Yeah mine used to be in her hand bag but I think she threw them out because they were just taking up room and never getting used

Shocks have been upgraded at some stage to these USA mfd Columbus heavy duty 165s. 1970s, love it. Image

Tempted to drop the springs out now but resisted the urge as rego is the priority. Bastard file out for clearancing the shock opening in bottom wishbone.

Found some rust I didn’t know aboutImageImageImageOnly on the drivers side. Curiosity of this car is that the driver side is worse for rust than kerb side. I put it down to the paddock effect.
