fb Drive shaft color??

fb Drive shaft color??

Gents,
does any one have a photo of the color used on the drive shafts, where there different colors for different models? my car is a sedan / special and would like to re paint as it was original.

Sorry don't know the original colour. I did my wagon in a satin black.

I would have thought they would all have been the same colour seeing as all models are mechanically identical ???
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Pretty sure they were flouro green on auto's and flouro pink for the manuals, specials and standards were the same.......























:shock: :crazy:

Or was that black?......

im going to be of no help here
but all the tailshafts ive had were oil and sand/dirt and dust over a smooth black coating
being a kiwi myself all i can say is the shafts are a bit longer than the aussie shafts
and better balanced ,last a lot longer if they were assembeld in NZ :ninja22:
my great uncle Jim used to paint them at petone/hutt valley way back when :whistlinggg:
and my dad smuggled a few engines out of trentham with his backhoe when they were doing earth works at the &*#@ plant :shock:
made a nice bit of coin on the side lol,used to meet men at the wharfs ,back filling wellington with a few donks in the dirt :wink:
grey or black ,or a blackish grey
