Dome / Map Light Wiring Connectors

Post by NoMAD »

Hey guys, i have a classic &*#@ chrome dome / map light for my interior light however I'm missing the fixing plug / wiring connectors... i know a few falcons had similar types so before i go raiding the wreckers in hope, does any one know what they are called (the grey plugs) if i can get some new that would be the way to go

and the plugs I'm chasing, or is anyone wrecking something with this type of light in that might be able to hook us up?

Early sle Commodores used the same light so look at these as well I'm sure I sold both of mine at a swap meet but can look in a week or two but check out any commodore wrecks also.

They were used in late H-series cars too. I'm midway through wiring one (from a HZ) into my EK wagon. Had to cut and reterminate the wires.

Only drama I've found is in changing to LEDs. Looks like the main dome light LEDs can find some form of earth through the map lights. With the map light LEDs missing, the dome works fine. With the map lights in, the dome light comes on OK, but when you close the doors the dome light LEDs dim right down, and the map lights dimly come on. Gotta be a stray earth in there somewhere... investigations continue.
