Ok, what do we need to do to get this going?
Be a good idea to all meet up and have a meal/beer/chat.

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital
ingredient in beer

Re: Tassie Fb EK car club
Why not look for a half way location, pick a afternoon or night, get together and start from there?

Beer sounds good , on a weekend would be good for me , as Wayne said a halfway point would probably be the way to go, but will go with the flow with what everyone else thinks .

Not looking like it at the moment , think everybody has so much other stuff going on in life that is taking up time , and sadly cars are down the list a bit , well I know that's my problem .

Hello to everyone, I'm just putting out the call to all interested Tasmanian FB and EK fans to get the ball rolling on a club starting, so if you're still keen please reply and I'll get it set up. I've put the call out on the facebook page due to interest being shown there so lets not put it off any longer. Lets make it happen. Cheers Justin.

It's looking like a goer so far, just need to get attendance at a meeting and we are off and running. When you say october, do you mean to coincide with the baskerville historics race meeting?

I think he is having a shot at our weather
Re: Tassie Fb EK car club
Hello fellow Ozzies from our island state,
our Vic club did a 10 day tour of your wonderful state back in the mid 2,000 in March.
We had a most wonderful time down with our Taswegian countrymen.
In particular, we met up with a great group of FB/EK owners at St. Helens - some of which continue to post on this forum.
In Hobart, we met up with another group at Risdon (no, not behind the walls) where we stayed.
Here we are, some 10 years later - and I am bewildered that a Tasmania club has not yet formed.
There are now only two states/territories that have not yet formed clubs in this great land of ours - I can probably understand why the N.T. hasn't, due to the population density vs area - but, Tasmania?... you have a wonderful state, some great FB/EK people and a collection of vehicles which are just begging to bear a "FB - EK Holden car club of Tasmania" sticker/badge on them...
I can appreciate that the majority of members would be located in either Hobart or Launceston, but for a few sheckles/year - many members could join as "country" members to get your numbers together.
We had some great trips in Tasmania - it's just a lovely place to drive one of our old buses around... with just so many differing terrains - you have the lot down there - club runs are just begging for your consideration.
And, don't take any notice of the slant at your weather - we're not all that much better here in Victoria during the colder months.
Your summer/early autumn would be an ideal opportunity for anyone to slip over on the "Spirit" and take in what your great state has to offer.
I wish you every success in finally getting your club mobile.
frats,
Rosco
