Post by Blacky »

Can anyone tell me what is going on this year for the nationals ?
i.e. where and when they are on , who is going , etc ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hey Blacky,

The 2006 Nationals are being in Albury on the June long weekend (10th to 12th) and is being hosted by the Victorians.

Can any Victorians confirm that and have any additional info?

Yes one of the days is a show n shine. It is peer judged with various categories for original, sports and modified FB EK's. The other day usually has some official and unofficial activities that people can also attend. One of the nights there is usually an auction of FB EK parts as well. Basically THE place to be if you're into FB EKs and a chance to meet other like minded people and see some top cars. 8)

Who hosts the Nationals each years is shared amongst the Vics, NSW and Qld and someitmes ACT. Stay tuned for more details.

We are going to book flights next week , is there going to be people travelling in convoy from Melbourne to the show ? Is it something similar to the FC Nats where everyone stays at the same place ?
If there is someone from the club organising this can they let me know where everyone is staying so we can book accommodation ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Yea - I'm with Blacky- come on you Vics post some details so that accommodation can be booked, as Albury is a popular destination for long weekends. An event calendar would also be nice.

Thanks for being patient guys. The venue for the 2006 Nats has been booked at Albury. We have just put the 7th Vic All Holden Day to bed and will be putting the finishing touches on the Nats. We have booked accomodation at one venue and Sat and Sun dinner nights have also been arranged. As well as the Sat cruise. We will soon release all the details.

Thanks Bill Reid 8)
