Hi all,
Does anyone have some switches for tail lights they could part with, as mine have fallen apart. I need 1 of the single bayonets and 1 at least or hopefully 2 of the twin bayonets as my twin one has very short wires that I might have a hard time soldering onto.

Re: tail light switches needed
i needed some of those for my reverse lights , i ended up knocking the collar out of the housing & pressing a regular globe holder back in , easy fix ,
Re: tail light switches needed
With some minor mods to the collars, these will do the single ones:

... and these the twin ones:

Hi Bigrevnev and Harv,
Would you mind taking a photo or explaining how you retro fitted your globe holders? These are what I found at Bursons (rare sprares have something similar for 5 times the price as usual). I was thinking about knocking the centres out too, and have a spare tail light assembly to experiment with, but rather than butcher it, instruction from someone who has done it already might save me some hassle.

Re: tail light switches needed
I used exactly what you have in the packet only i have boxes of these as spares from smash work , Just bench grind the plastic housing down & peel it of ,the metal housing is a perfect press fit just a tap in with a hammer , Just belt the old collar out three hits will do it
Re: tail light switches needed
Thanks mate - did you bash the original out while the tail light assembly was in place, and if so, bash into the car or from the inside out?
Re: tail light switches needed
my lights were bolted to the car all though it doesnt matter , The collars will punch out either direction , I used a tube socket ,one came out dead easy the second one mangled a bit , dont tap the new holders in to far or the globes wont twist in to lock in position , dead easy
Re: tail light switches needed
Thanks mate - new ones in and all working now!
