re register it,then spray some cold galv on it
or glue a coaster on it

thanks for the ideas guys. ill try the isolater next. i dont like vinal roofs. mick i was thinkin about choping the roof off but only to replace it. and jagger it would need 100 coasters. its 70% of the roof. ill post a pic over the weekend.

If you use isolater do the WHOLE roof.
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and

john. iv been doing the whole roof. strip it to bare everytime.

jagger. iv seen number plates screwed together to make a roof lining but never coasters on top. ur on to something. or smoking something. i havent decided witch yet.

micck. didnt the ek in running on empty have black vinal roof. it looked cool. not for me tho

it did i think or it was painted black wouldn't say it looked cool also had a huge yellow whip aerial :shock: that looked about as cool to me :lol:

i never noticed the aerial. i like the look of that car. prob was painted black. its cool because thats how you old fellas use to `do up` ur cars in the 80's :lol: :lol:

i was way ahead of my time only vinyl roofs i had were on cars i bought and they were off first chance i got, no whip aerials and allways low front and back 8)

The Running on empty EK did have a vinyl roof - I cleaned it with Armor All once and the next time it rained it all ran over the windscreen and I couldnt see a bloody thing !!! :oops:
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Took the old fb out for the weekend to the nationals, was a good weekend, didn't enter but still had fun, lots of nice cars , can't work out how to put photos up off my iPhone.
