Last year we met at the Maccas in Kelmscott and got there about 15 minutes after it started and really battled to get a spot
This year we might meet an hour before kickoff in the same spot so we can park together at the venue.

Re: Distributor gear thrust washer
I have been able to have a look a stripped engine just and it would seem to me that the " thrust washer " i thought i might be missing looks to be down in a recess in the oil pump body and looks to be staked in 3 places so it wont come out.
Can anyone confirm this ? ,... as i had taken the distributor out some months ago i couldnt remember any washer on the end of it ,... and with the engine in the car it is difficult to see closely down the hole.
Anyways i think it looks like that is the case ,... the reason i had concern is that the manual states " Distributor must be installed so that the gear is in firm contact with thrust washer " ,.... im like what thrust washer ?
Look if anybody can comment or share experience that would be great
