Did some testing of the paint for the wagon, and it worked out pretty well. :D
Its a pearl paint, and put the clear over the top, looked pretty good, no build ups.
Didn't rub back the gloss, so its just what I got off the gun. These are the next day pics.
And my father now has a red trailer instead of a blue one. He suggested it.

Hope it comes out as well on the car.

Finally got around to working on the doors, tailgate and Guards.
Rust repairs, dent removal, badge hole filling, scratch removals.
This could take a while. :esad: :esad:
Hope that a big effort tomorrow will get them to primer stage.

It appears that a big effort, didn't quite get me to primer stage. :(
But it's a lot closer. :D
Blacky, I took a few photo's. Cut, weld, fill and prime. But still more to do before they are right.

How to make FB doors into EK doors. Done :D

No badge for the rear, so don't need those holes either.

And my little house of horrors, where I hang body parts on hooks.  (EK body parts)

Unfortunately it looks like the rain is on its way and may be around for a week or so. :ughh: :ughh:

I have also been progressing on some of the fiddly items.
Removed and painted the front badge back to red again, it had faded and had almost no red left on it. :(
And gave it a little rub and a shine with one of those special little pillows of magic. Image

Have been working on a colour concept for the wagon, and it's starting to take shape.
Have narrowed it down to two, but couldn't get the black to show in a gloss. Which looks better ? :? :? :?

Red body, Black rear and upper sides, and silver top.

Or Red Body with Silver top, side and back?

I'm trying to picture option 2 with the flash above the side moulding, instead of below
