Thanks scoob
Can't wait to cut and polish and get a nice shine
From the first day I got the old girl and saw the rust bubble around the rear screen I wanted this paint scheme and once I saw your beast I knew it had to be done
At least we live at other ends of the state so there shouldn't be any mix ups in the car parks

If Fingers goes with the same paint scheme they will look good all parked together, only their mother can tell them apart

So the plain was to paint the roof and boot area only but in the process of removing some masking tape the clear peeled of both rear quarter panels bloody 2 PAC
Image
Yes that is a sheet of clear sitting on top of the quarter
And they sent me the wrong heads so I had to send them back

That's the oldest son giving me a hand

Heads on happy days

Every push rod on the inlet was hard up against the casting
So pulled them of and waiting on for the new ones to arrive

Thanks for asking scoob
It took the weeks for the second set of new heads to arrive so I put the motor back in and made some new bits off exhaust to meet up with the log headers

I also played around with the drop tank and put a swirl pot in so had to change fuel lines and mount the fuel pump in a different location and change the tailpipes and rear muffler set up
Was a bit of a mission but got it done over the long weekend
Here's a pic of my little helper slash headrest when lying under the car

He's a great little fella
