It does look new but it's still got a 'factory' new about it if that makes sense. Good for another 50 years.

i've had this issue can be caused by something in the lock mechanism (don't ask me what i forget

but know i did something) or same can't remember which way round it goes but front and back door handles have a different length shaft that push the tab you may have a short one where there should be a long one

can't wate till you lower it and put mags on it

Yeah I had the handles back to front but this problem I think is with the lock mechanism itself. Will have another closer look on the weekend. Worse case is I have to swap out the meachanism which means pulling out the window glass etc.

I can't go much lower...It's already lowered 3" at the back (reset springs) and 2" at the front.

I think it's going to have a bit of a tail dragger look about it. I've got a set of period '60s Spyder brand mags stashed away. They need new rims etc so will have to wait till I save up some $'s.

Looking good Stewart, but would look even better with the mags! Can't wait to see it then.

Stewart, it may be the door handle itself. Dave replaced all the door handles on mine, and the back right door opens easy from the inside, but is a bitch to open from the outside. It seem to be the shaft on the new (Rare Spares

) door handle isnt long enough, or out of wack

Wow man that looks so awesome and so brand spanking new looking!!!!

Must of been a bit of a nerve wracker getting it on and off the truck .... be a bugger to get a scratch before it hits the road. Exhaust looks great and with everything else so neat its a shame they didnt scribble on it's top side hehe.

When it comes time to go for rego i would love to see the faces on the inspectors lol ....it should qualify for being exempt from rego inspections for the next 3 (5?) years like all new cars.

Pete - I dont think its the door handle I thinks its the lock mechanism.

Scotty and Mick - sorry guys...a ton of other stuff got in the way on the weekend...I did get to finish some loose ends...but no turning of the key...so nothing to see here...
