That is an interesting comment Searsy because mandatory jail time for people who run from the cops in high speed chases passed parliament here yesterday.

They passed the same law here some time back, when a little girl died after being hit by a car that was being chased. I don't think they've been following through on it that hard though.

Well I have had a look at the car.

The front bumper bar is hanging off - looks like they hit a kerb pretty hard.

Wheels are coated in brake dust, a few new dents/scratches around the vehicle. Petrol tank was empty - it was full when taken, and although they only had it for around 12hrs, they went through the whole tank, which normally lasts around 450km.

Today it was towed to the mechanics for an inspection, but the impound yard didn't provide them with the keys for it

We will see what happens.
