HI
Has anyone used a heater core as a oil cooler for turbo 350 .It has been suggested to me and was wondering if it would work as it could be mounted low near bumper bar or some where similar

The water side of grey/red motors is fairly low pressure - FX-FE Holdens had a 4 psi radiator cap, later model FE Holdens and all subsequent grey motors had a 7 psi cap and red motors run a 13 psi cap. My guess is that this will be about the pressure limit of the poor-mans Warmaride cooler.
The Turbo350 pump pressure can generate up to 150psi - not sure how much this is reduced for the cooler circuit, though 10psi pressure drop is not uncommon across coolers.
My guess is the poor-mans Warmaride might be marginal for pressure - a similar sized (and correctly pressure rated) cooler is available from SuperCheap for fairly low $.

Thanks Harv ---It was just a thought. But like always you explain things real well
Anyone want to buy a poor-mans Warmaride cooler.
