I still insist that twin carbs weren't in the car in 1961and that GMH wouldn't have put double carbs or alloy tappet cover on it.

Re: *** Holden EK 1961 Premier Prototype Euroa Gold Metallic
Im thinking if twins were factory fitted there would have been hard lines instead of rubber hose.
I would spew blood at a poxy rubber hose if I ran the joint.
They certainly had the gear to do it properly.
Just an observation.........

I would say the steel line was cut and the hose was added after the twin carbs were removed?
I hope he can find the pic with the twin carbs on the car in 1970.
His comments do suggest that the car was around Holden until the car was traded by the Secretary in 1970.....

Have you had the hose off to examine the line and maybe offer it up to twins for comparison to maybe check if there is enough meat left on the line to accept a flare
If you catch my meaning?
Do you Know what brand manifold may have been on it?
I have plenty of different ones here for comparison.

Re: *** Holden EK 1961 Premier Prototype Euroa Gold Metallic
Will be out at the warehouse tomorrow and take another look.
I too think it's highly unlikely that Holden would put twin carbs on an EK and I did say that to Peter. I was echoing his words "who's going to tell the Managing Director he can't have twin carbies?" He was clear on saying that Harlow wanted something different, and different it was.
Placing twins on an engine is much easier than adding power steer or that candy cane trim

it seems to work a treat on seamen
i was being serious above though
i kinda agree with who's gunna argue with the boss (i would
) also remember we're talking about the days that if you (anybody off the street) wanted something optioned on a car and it was available you got it
