NSW Motor Enthusiasts Conference (pics)

Post by hewey »

Today was the NSW Motor Enthusiasts Conference. Basically the idea was to both show the breadth of modified car owners from 4WDs, ricers, street machiners, restorers, hot rodders, and also to lobby the NSW Minister for Roads and Ports and the RMS (formally RTA) for a fairer go for all of us as well.

Word around the traps is its been a massive success and there has been some great gains.

The turn out was huge as you can see in the pics, and there was an awesome variety of cars on display as well. The atmosphere was laid back and friendly with no dickhead factor which was exactly what was needed. The official conference was held behind closed doors because of limited room, but it was broadcast to everyone over the PA which was a great idea.

Personally I feel its a massive step in the right direction in terms of both liaising with the state government but also all breeds of modified car owners working together. Here's hoping it becomes a regular event

Was a great show of unity by all the car clubs and enthusiasts. If they are planning more of these conferences in the future, which im sure they will, i urge everyone who calls themselves a "car guy or gal" to attend. :D :D
