When the original tank was removed from the wagon it was totally stuffed, and its insides looked like someone had been growing oysters in there.
I ordered one of Marty Deans SS tanks, that are something I would recomend to anyone.
The sender unit is in a slightly different position, so I made up a copper tube to run the sender wires through to protect them from abrasion from the spare.
I also made up a cap similar to an original to cover the connections on the sender.

Im with EK Jay.
The fun bits are pulling them to bits and putting them back together as nicely as possible.
The shit bit is the body and paint,(especially the rubbing out,buffing and polishing)
Although I dont mind mucking about for ages in the vain attempt to get nice gaps in an old Holden.
If you gap them right,the molds dont usually line up any more anyway.
