Its not just 2k ,all paint systems can enter through your skin and it goes without saying that the skin should be covered and precautions taken .

If I didnt have problems with the bonnet I wouldnt of seen them  Was looking at how one of the other bonnets fitted on one of the wrecks and I spotted them  , will have to go over them a bit better

OK will do a little update , been rubbing for weeks and Iam over it :( , 50 years of service as a Ute has left the body worse for wear

Think somebody has been throwing marbles at it , lots of tiny little dents , you can pick them out when it is wet but when it dries they are hard to find , think I will just get over it , is only a sunday cruiser after all .

Am going to throw a few more coats of primer on it and block that back and that will do .

Have got the door gaps sorted , and the bonnet back from the sandblasters so will fix the bit of rust in that and weld up the badge holes and body work .

Plan is to have it painted by the end of the month.

EK 283 , have found the best way to sand this 2 pac primer back is dry with a long block , gets it nice and straight , have started with 240 and then over it again with 320 and then wet sand with 400 and thats where am up to now .
Pic of the block , not cheap but does a bloody good job

Rusty,

The FB windshield washer blocks you have should have the brass pipes pressed in - the grubscrews are only there so that the blocks can be used left or right (i.e. you are right, it is a cross-drilling).

Cheers,
Harv.

Thanks Harv , havent got back to them yet , still wondering where I can get a bit of proper size tube to replace the broken one with , think that is going to be the hardest bit :?

Thanks Shme , man dont know how you do that everyday ,I must be getting old , I really dont remember it being so hard :| , I am so over it

Have been doing a tray swap on a F150 this week , have been laying under that and bending over it all day and then bent over sanding the Ute after that , my back is screaming at me

you will find either brass or copper tube in the size you need at any major hobby store.
I have had to make or reconstruct similar wiper jet supply tubes on many cars over the years using this material
