hr discs on ek x meber
hey guys just wondering if hr discs can be adapted to fit in the standard king pin front ends. ive just bought a daily driver and the drum brakes are just scary. dont really want to have to put a full hr front end in so i dont have to worry about engineers ect. if they cant be adapted would a booster make much difference to the drum setup. cheers wayne
Re: hr discs on ek x meber
you used to be able to buy an adapter kit not sure if they still make them, try contacting J off here i think his had adapted discs and think he took them off, you'll still legally need an engineers report it's not the cross member that needs engineering it's the brake modification that needs it, f#%kin' stoopid you can remove ancient tecnology dodgey drum brakes and replace them with much safer disc brakes all pretty much bolt on and you need to engineer it

sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

You can still buy the kits from Castlemain rod shop they are about 230 bucks.
I would check as Harry says, as my experiance with thier gear has not been favourable to say the least.
Cheers

ok thanks . yeah im not a real fan of crs either . funny with the engineer bit i dont have any seatbelts in the wagon coz its a stocker but to put some in they must be engineered. (youd think something would be better than nothing hey.
). anyway i might just end up going hr with discs . ive got a spare xmember here anyway and if i need to engineer it i might aswell do it proply hey.. cheers for the info guys.
