Plenum Chamber

I need some wisdom from the forum.
Oh mighty forum shall I keep thou plenum chamber or send it into the depths of hell????
I have donated generously to the church of rare spares !!!!
has anyone done this?
Is it practical?
I am not planning on parking this under a waterfall.
Please help me Oh mighty forum many thanks in advance for your wisdom.

Are you planning to remove the plenum panel entirely and filling the vents in the scuttle ?

If so , how do you plan to seal around the wiper pivots ??

I have replaced the plenum on an eh. Its a lot of work but pretty straight forward. It came out in a complete unit. If you have an ek with a decent one cut that one out first leaving plenty of may around it. Gradually cut the excess material away untill you get to the basic section. Then cut out the rusty unit.

I was planning on cutting out rusty bits and creating a flat section from the gutter to the firewall eliminating the section where the water drains to.
dont know about filling the vents?
I could replace the chamber with a donor or fabricate a new section but am looking for an easier option if there is one.
This is one of the last things that I need to do in steel before i start filling so I am keen to get moving.
I am sick of the sound of the grinder and the mig!!

Find a wreck to cut them out of and patch it. Otherwise its alot of work to seal it and will save you chasing leaks once water hits it.

mine was rusted both sides, luckily I got a donor car to cut the bits out I needed. Either way you'll be grinding and welding....
