Heater Core - Advice please

Post by EKfanPaul »

Hi all.
My car had the heater reefed out of it before I got it.

I have had a 2nd hand 'poor man's' heater core (The one that bolts under the fresh air vent ) for a while hanging around.
i took it to a radiator place today to pressure test it as I don't want it leaking on the way to Sawtell.
The bloke said he reduced the Psi but it still blew up like a 'football' so it cost me $50 to really bugger it up.

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced recore? They quoted me $350!
OR
Is there a similiar late model one that will bolt in place?, As it is only held on by 2 screws and is well out of sight.

Any advice would be appreciated! Cheers!

I have one here if you need one Paul.
I'm going to put in my Smith's 'Beehive' heater for the winter.

Scotty.

There is always this as an option Paul. Includes a fan and is $100 cheaper!
