225 or 215 Tyres

Post by WesternWagon »

Hi all

Can I fit 225/ 65/14s on the rear of an EK without rubbing I have acess to 5 new 14 x 6 rims

I was thinking 185 or 195 on the front and 215 or 225s on the rear

Any advice ?

Cheers

I think you might be safer running 215's
I'm in the process of putting 225's on and am having scrubbing issues
Looks like I'll have to go smaller
You have to make sure your offsets are spot on too

3 and an 8th
That's with 8" rears (15" diameter)
But bear in mind I've got shortened diff and I'm having a bit of trouble with it at the mo
In two weeks I'm hoping it'll all be sorted
Then I can give you final figures
Not too sure if that helps though mate!

I have 215/75/14's on the wagon and had to pump the inner guards for clearance, got a flat and the tyer shop put a second hand tyer on until my new one came in, they put a 225/60/14 on and it fit no scraping.
What I would do is ask your tyer place to get both sizes so you can have them try for you and buy the ones that fit best :D .
