Hi guys
I,m new to the forum but not new to EKs i<ve had mine for about 15 years about 10 years ago it broke the crank shaft so i stripped it and so started the resto since the it,s moved states from S.A to VIC metro and now to Echuca VIC its still not finished but oneday no rush. A bit about the car it<s a 61 EK S.aA build it was totaly stock when i got it i dropped the front springs fitted disc's to the front ,14 x 5inch hk rims and 14 x 7s to the rear topped it off with baby moons and white walls it's snowcrest white top and bottom hydro matic it came with heaps of NASCO stuff as it was sold from the 1961 Adelaide motor show this info came from the 1'st owner and got it with all the extras fitted they are power boosted brakes(VH40), clock dash,warnaride heater, parcel tray, rear blind, diamond dot radio with rear speaker and fade knob under the dash,steering lock, glove box light, boot light, door pull to handles,LUCAS electric glass wash bottle, HI note twin horns, oil filter, hand brake warning light. I have now got a few more bits like a set of door handle scratch plates and a set of spatts (real ones of an old EK wagon found on a farm in Echuca) the original grey motor has been rebuilt as follows 60 th bore head has a set of SPECO REVMASTER valve springs (new old stock i hav 2 sets), very early SPECO triple carb manifold, NORM SMITH headers, EJ crank and bearing caps RM 62 cam shaft, steel timing gears(i built this motor before you could buy them so i had them made cost a fortune), cam bearings have been cross drilled and have external oil feeds fitted i,ve also run the oil pump pickups out through the sump to a remote filter it also has a very rare rocker cover it has DRAG written down the center (i,ve only seen photos of one other one and it was on a custom FJ which won best custom 1965 Adelaide rod show and belonged to a guy named Robert Small maybe the same rocker cover????????) it also has silver badges (bonnet & hydramatic) wich were red i,ve been told that there just faded but there in perfect condition no cracking and when i took them apart there was no sign of any red what so every i was then told by an bloke that worked a the Adelaide factory that the first EKs off the line there had silver badges to get them out on time he also said that they used alot of FB parts on the first few cars such as doors and fuel pumps i checked mine and yes it has an FB fuel pump it has the flange for the vac pump is not drilled it also has FB doors with the plug to get to the FB trim EK doors dont have this plug just the press mark were it was , i dont really know enough about EKs to know weather this true but i,m spray painter buy trade and i know the car has never been pulled apart it has almost no rust the floors are like new under the covers i even found the delivery tags and warnaride heater tag under the seats Maybe somone can shed some light on this. I hope to have here bake on the road one day soon time permitting Cheers guys

If you get a chance, I'd love to see some photos of the electric washers (either post 'em up here or I can send you my email address and post em for you). I'm currently tracking down info on various washers, and the electric ones seem to be as rare as hens teeth.
