I like this one a bit more than the rounded off door, but maybe with a ute/panel van corner on top.

You guy's are onto me BIG time, I don't have photo shop and was going to do it the old fashioned way buy printing out a pic then cutting it up 'till it looked "right", I was also going to try '57 Chev trim, bits of FB trim inverted and Buick trim, giving it a real Nomad look. Next was to go the Sedan Delivery look, then I thought about a two stage stepped roof like Invader 2001 a Panel Van that appeared in Custom Vans & Trucks in the '70's remember that one? O.K. Photoshop guys put my ideas into reality

Petrolhead, i dont know how to use photo shop, i just paste the pics into paint and use that. i think the 57 trim would look ok. ill have a go at it later.

I started playing around with the doors today, took the skins off two front doors, tomorrow ill join them together

I thought it would be easyer if i built the door frames then joined the skins and fit the skin back on the door frame.

how much does everyone lengthen there doors with a two door conversion??? by my measurements i need to lenghten it 300mm, but it makes the door look really long :? ill join it all together tomorrow and see how it looks :|

About 150mm should do the trick.
enough to look longer than stock,
but not too long.
Really its up to you, as to the look your after.

I have never done anything like this before, its a huge learning curve :D

iv been playing with these doors every now and then, 150mm was not enuff

its got to be at least 250-300mm longer, i went and saw a mate who extended his eh pannel van doors and converted it to 6 seater, he extended his 260mm, and they look in proportion, he mentioned there is a formular for working out how much to extend by. my formular is cut weld cut weld  iv got plenty of doors.

ill keep playing with them, im having fun and its costing me bugger all. 8)
