Blackie your a legend for getting these on the website.Only having a computer for a very short time I've still got the "L" plates on,heck it took me weeks to work out how to get the pictures out of the camera.
Now about the FB,it was purchased in Gosnells(3/4 hour drive from my place) as a cheap un-regestered car but the engine ran like a dream.
Once I was home I couldn't get it off the trailer as the brakes had seized on.I eventually got it off the trailer and the first thing was to fix the brakes. After much swearing and barking of knuckles I got the drums off to find out that everything was new.Drums, wheel cyls, shoes, but way overadjusted. The k-frame was good so all that was left to do was the minor rust in the doors and sills. How wrong can you be.If I sandblasted the car I would of junked it.But I didn't and was repairing a piece at a time. I found endless rust, coke cans, chook wire, fencing wire, newspaper even concrete and lots more rust. The left rear door collapsed on me when I lent on it as it was masking tape and bog! This car has been off the road a very long time as I have put a whole sheet of Zinc Aneal back into it.I have even shifted 3 times in the process.Strange thing at the trimmers he found some paperwork in the back seat and the origional owner of the FB lived only a few streets away from me in Rockingham.Major body mods 1)Seams in front guards welded up. 2)Seams in dash welded up. 3)Twin frenched aerials where the aerials are at the same angle as the taillamps. 4)XB &*#@ Fairmont V8 boot floor welded in,spare wheel now lays flat in floor. 5)XB &*#@ Fairmont V8 fuel tank inlet welded up and FB Holden fuel tank inlet modified and welded into Fairmont tank. 6)Charger filler cap modified to fit FB filler neck. 7)Inner guard covers made so that you can't see the engine from the front wheel arch. 8)Engine bay smoothed and welded up. 9)Battery relocated to the boot. 10)PVC retic pipe fitted inside front guards to hide wiring. 11)New Wiring harness made as would of had to modify existing one but existing one had fused together as one lump. 12)Where front chrome eyebrows attach to guard gaps filled.13)Twin swivel cockpit interior lamps fitted.14)Serious metalflake(really hard to find) painted on side flashs, rims & sides of front seats. 15)Tri-spoke spinners (also really hard to find)fitted to hand made hub centers. 16)Seats upholstered in dark blue upholstery velvet in diamond pattern with buttons(my trimmer hates me now-only joking).I think thats about it for now untill I rember more.
Remember "DARE TO BE DIFFRENT" no cookie cutter car for me!

I've got a feeling he may have sold the car a while back but not 100% sure on that.Haven't seen petrolhead on the forum for ages.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Blacky would probably know more (or the correct info), but i'll have a stab from memory (heard or read really can't recall) and say that when the car was advitised for sale it was seen by an old guy in Rockingham while taking it for a drive (South of Perth) who just had to have it...and then the cash changed hands....

like i said i think this may have been what happened. honestly can't remember exactly...

Cheers
