FB 215 ... For the crusher ..... or rebuild?

Post by Aussie Bob »

I have been told by most who have seen it to scrap My FB 215 below! I wish I could save it as I have had it 17 years.

I just got that other 215 Honey Beige today & after seeing it I now reluctantly agree.

68,000 gen mile, trim was mint, mats, books somewhere!

Anyone handy enough here to save it? I will just use it for spares if not. Thanks, Jacko

G'day Jacko.

If I saved it, how much would it cost me to relieve you from posession of it??

I'm in Upper Hunter N.S.W. just a couple of hours down the road from you.Send me a P.M if you are going to sell it.I'll give it the good under cover home it deserves with some of it's brothers and sisters!!

The car is in Sydney & I have tried to get work done in Armidale, though, due to the hail late last year the Smash Repairs are booked up for a year.

They car has for memory 68,000 mile & drove like new before going off the road in 2003 for a QUICK pain-t job.

I hadn't thought of selling it, mainly saving it. Having five FB's it would be very handy all the spares, though, I would like to see it saved.

Roof lining is mint. Original floor mats are near mint.

I will PM you Terry.

Thanks Jay, I am going to way up any feedback that posters here are kind enough to leave & make an informed decision.

I do remember that wreckers. I got some two tone blue FB fleck trim out of one of the sedans in 1992 after the Tamworth Nationals.

Take care,

Steve

i'm looking for something to cut up, so you can take the bits you want and GIVE the rest to me, if it's too far gone i won't let the scrappers have it i'll just leave it to rust peacefully into the ground

You wouldn't have much to cut up, just loosen the bolts and she will come apart in seconds, you may have to sand the roof though the paint might make it a tad hard to remove easily.....................''

That is amazing DevilRod, I guess in another 30 years they'll be doing the same thing to our models. My car is definitely repairable after seeing that!
