This comes from NoMAD, who posted it in Garry's build of the mild EK.
Enjoy
All that work for 116hp! What was the quoted standard figure?

That article said they used standard Holden V8 valve springs, has anyone else used these and which V8 , 253 / 308 they might well be the same but I've never had one apart to know the difference.

Been told they are all the same as a red 6 as-well, just sounds impressive to say V8 springs

I did a lot of similar things to my motor, I used 350 chev valve springs that have around 85lb pressure. My car makes 105 rwhp with twin stromburgs

Could you list the mods you performed upon your grey Hysteria? I would be very interested in reading them.

without trying to sound like a wanker, that is very low power for the specs. that should do 150-160hp easy. combo is not right at all.

yours actually makes more power. yours would be around 145hp@ the flywheel, so it shows how poor the engine in the story really is.

O.K. I can't remember where I read it but I think it was something to do with a old speedway magazine but they mentioned putting a Falcon 6 crank in one? that enabled it to be stroked? don't quote me

I've heard of the falcon crank into the red 6 for stroking, not in the grey
.
