Fuel Guage

Post by col60fb »

G'day,
Can anyone tell me which fuel gauge is correct,
I have been told that this is a factory fault from
new on this particular car.

Hi Col,

Am I correct in assuming the car in questions is a standard? I would have thought the fuel gauge in fuelgauge1.jpg pic with the empty and full marks is the correct one. having said that I've never owned a standard.

Regards,

Looks like the fuel gauge in the car in the first photo has the lens from the tell-tale fitted. It should simply be a matter of swapping the lens (or the whole gauge).

Hi Guys.

The instruments in photo 2 have the odd fuel gauge.

I'm with gp on this one, the top gauge in the 1st photo has just had the wrong lens fitted.

I doubt it left the factory like that.

Sorry , couldnt see for looking , the second picture is the same as the first - I must be going blind :(
The dash in my ute is the same as every other dash I have seen _ the dash in the photos must have been messed with.
