Stumped

Post by Flak »

Hi, first time posting and I've just brought an EK (pics will come later) anyway Im having problems getting the clutch to engage, I can't get a gear when the motor is running (can get a gear when motor is off). So far i've tried adjusting the clutch fork, looked for a leak in the lines and bleeding. However when i bleed it, the fluid wouldn't come out with every depression of the clutch pedal and the fluid had a lot of crap in it. The actuating cylinder seems to extending out to it fullest. Hmmm any ideas

Has it been sitting for a long time ? Maybe the clutch plate is frozen to the fltwheel - if it wont bleed up as you describe you may need to replace the master cylinder or maybe the hose is full of crap - try and flush the system with new fluid and see if it improves .
....... and welcome to the forum
