Cool man 8)

Yeah shannons all the way dude. With them, cos we drive 'classics' we don't have the young driver excess either... Which is pretty sweet :D

A little bit off topic here but it's funny how you mention Shannons insurance. I looked over this thread the other day as I really like your car and I'm keen to see pics of all fixed up again. The wife and I have JUST bought a brand new Hyundai Getz  (pick it up next Friday) Unfortunately it's a neccasary evil as we have bought a property that is a bit further out and we need something we can rack up K's on and is cheap to run. Any way because were getting finance on it we have to have full comprehensive insurance on it so we did the normal thing and rang around to get some quotes for it. I have noticed more and more people I talk to are using Shannons and not just for cars but houses as well so I was keen to get on board with them.

Keep in mind this is for 12 months, the wife and I are both over 25 and have had no claims at all and have only minor traffic offences - missus has had 1 speeding fine and 1 red light, I've had 1 speeding fine and 2 redlight in our driving career.

1st Budget direct insurance $643 per year

2nd aami insurance $409 per year

3rd was Shannons and their quote was.....

$2313! No that's not a typo, they wanted two thousand three hundred and thirten dollars. Missus doesn't know what went wrong??? she said all 3 asked basically the same questions.

It guess it really does pay to shop around!

Hope to see some pics of your beautiful beast soon mate 8)

Hey RB,

I'm 27 and the wife is 25. I can't recall seeing the ad? if I have seen it I can't remember it, funny how things like that get to ya huh!

Terry, I did think of that. Maybe they just wan to insure classics because trust me at that price you would have to be a dipshit to go with them, there's no way there service could be THAT much better.

can't remember the exact details but i know my mate with an EH ute near show car (could quite easily be) had trouble, i had my orange van with them for $12,000 there price, they would only do his ute for max $10,000 and it was easy twice the car and it was something to do with age even though he was in his late 30's

Took my Cousin to his school ball in Busselton last night.

Naturally, he wanted to arrive in style, so when he asked me if I would take him in the FB, I was more than happy to help out.

So, after approx 480km round trip in one night, here are the results:

(Yes it was pissing down rain and I had my wiper bullets instead of wiper arms)
