The timber frame may help, but as you have already found. Cutting screens is a hit or miss thing

The lexan screen is a good idea, I have made fibreglass ones for over 25 years. They then can be trimmed to fit and used to produce a furnace mold so custom screens can be made.

I have a mould for a standard FB EK front screen, that was for a chop on a ute. But the owner changed his mind.

Are you looking at getting toughened glass made for the side windows?
Most glass companies send this work out.

I use to use Perfect glass till they were bought out by Protector at Beenleigh. Now I use them.
Give them a ring

There is no problems with laminated side glass.
But, i have seen door glass crack from the door being slammed or something finding its way into the baily channel.

I personally always use toughened glass, my preference

Hi Mez,

from your first pic - to here has been a positive transition....... I am impressed.

As already stated, your's is unique and I'll be very disappointed if you don't make Yamba............?

Your engine bay - wow. I can see where you've been and a lot of what you've done.......... I would have loved the access when I did mine - but mine was only cosmetic.
I am very impressed with those fills and how you've brought it up.
I expect your bolts, tappers etc are stainless - if so, did you take note of what Malcolm and I discussed...........?

your scuff plates - are they Sam's - if so, you know the work in them to get this finish......... looks great.

Interior trim......... Matty mentioned "Morph" on another post - you've GOT to wear those boots from the cupboard when cruising in this....... I'm not keen on the "grenade" - I'd be a bit concerned if I was the constabulary and you were dressed in camo............

Seems my box brownie is going to get some overload soon - gotta make Yamba, Mez - for all of us.....

i took the day off again to sit in the car, but boredom got
the better of me so i got my derringer pistol and made a new shifter
(all ways wanted a pistol grip) moved the grenade to the reverse shifter,
i know im a sucker for these stick in gear shit twin shifts but ive had it
for 10 years and wanted to use it bad. also got the rear screen in ,and a lot of little engine bay stuff done. if i lay off the booze saturday nite ill get
a lot done sunday.and i hope and pray to get it to yamba(i get my licence back after 14monts on the wendsday before so i hope) what a cruize new car and all.. oh hers the pics

Mez I somehow don't think this car will go unnoticed anywhere!
Can't think of anything better than taking the first drive in a ride you have spent so much time on... 8) 8)

Hi Mez,
you are being productive with allocated time....... no matter where you get it from........ main thing is to get stuff done.....and you are.

I have been chucling all afternoon and impatient to get on the forum..........

as mentioned on Malcolm's thread - there are three of you chaps who I know of who may be spending some time in Yamba - you now have a pistol and grenade, Malcolm has rocket launchers and our pres has a "bombe" (from Pink Panther - the black ball type with cable fuse) in his "rat" - I do hope the constabulary don't get wind of this or the "Feds" will make you all an offer you won't be able to refuse for long term accommodation........

There are going to be some very, very impressive cars this Nats - it seems to be getting better and better every year................... yours will be on high on the agenda in that list............... looking forward to running out of film with my box brownie........

Rosco
