Tracked down SMS auto-fabrics finally and they sent me a sample as attached for the headliner - it's same pattern as original but a fraction darker which may be just age on the old - I have ordered 7 yards (I will only need 3.5 ) so if anyone wants a headliner I can have the other made up at same time from my original pattern with the red vinyl side bits as well.

fabric cost will be around 100$ a yard including freight and it should be here just after Christmas I would guess.

If anyone wants to add to the order let me know and I can amend it - might save a little on freight but not much.

I will also have another headliner the trimmer made up using some star pattern he had found - it's not the random star though but more like Rares pattern but a close match to original colour.

The door cards look fantastic, actually the whole car so far looks great.

How did they get the pleats pressings in the bottom red part ?

Thanks Greg

Wally I’ll jump on your offer on the random star mate. Made up by your trimmer or I’ll just take some cloth, whatever suits you best.
Cheers

Thanks mate - the door cards are a bit tricky - they have to make up a special press tool for each design - Originally I had wanted to copy the original standard door cards but the guy just couldn't get it to his standard so i settled on the Special cards as he already had a mould for it - they are a welded pressed seam - if you wanted i guess you could get a similar effect by using a stitched line.

I'll get the guys details and post up if others interested.

No Worries Clay - did you want the lower parts in the red or a different colour - if you want them different might be better for your guy to make it up and match the vinyl up your way? If you haven't got the original liner I can send mine up for a template with the fabric.

I’ve got original and my trimmer has the material for the sides left over from my seat, so I’d be very happy to just get some cloth. Perhaps you could PM me when you work out the cost and I’ll EFT funds?

Fabric has arrived Clay - looks great - I'll get it to the trimmer monday to work out what he needs and be in touch - with a bit of luck there is enough for three.

I've still got Grace's EK ute's original headlining if you want it. Flick me a PM with an address and I'll throw it into the post for you.

not long to go now - wiring nearly finished - screen in - all mechanicals in and hooked up

just has to throw the guards and doors(all fitted up) on and give it a final block and buff and detail and she's ready for the road - needless to say I'm excited as a kid in a lolly shop with a fistful of gold :yeahhh: :money_money:
