Get one from rare spares they are plenty long enough. About $50.

Dellow Automotive in Sydney makes these also (then sells them to Rares)

did anyone notice speedo's become inaccurate after sludge box conversions? both of our fb and ek cars have had autos in them and now say you are travelling much faster than you are. is there any remedy for this?

You need to change the speedo gear in the gear box to match the final drive "diff" ratio. Typically 3.36 and 3.55 ratios. These speedo gears have a different amount of teeth and are different colours for easy recognition.

I can recommend Auto Cables too!!!

I ordered a custom handbrake cable (EK manual to EH diff) for the EK at 2pm on Wednesday and got it the following day in the mail! Whats even better is it fits too. His phone skills aren't to encouraging but his work is topnotch.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

It's not the cable you need. You need to match the speedo gear to the diff ratio. Gears are not supplied with the cable.

Of course if need a cable then Dellow Automotive in Sydney, CRS in Castlemaine, Rare Spares or Auto Cables can supply them.

There are other places also, in Adelaide there is a place called Flexible Drive Agencies that do all sorts from Speedo cables to Whipper Snipper drive cables.

Hi Guys.

Strangely as though it may seem, the cable out of an LC or LJ 6 (M15/M20[Aussie]/M40) is longer than the HK/HT/HG one & is a good fit in early conversions.
