EK ute seat

Post by blue ute »

Currently doing up an EK ute & wondering if anybody has a picture of a front seat restored to original - I'm after the number of panels in the insert, and is the back of the seat open, ie the area below the 'flap' that goes to the back window.

Cheers

Not the best seat in the house but looks like its still original
I counted 15 panels on the grey insert part. What you can see are all the original panels, none are missing. The gap on the left side is where it has come away from the edge, not a panel missing, same as the gap on the second last one on the right, so its 15 on mine.

As far as the back of the seat I cant see without taking it out but it feels like there is no material covering the springs etc. If i take my seat out in a couple of weeks Ill post some oics of the back part.
Hope this helps a bit

The backs are definately not covered, my FB ute seat is the same on the back with a different pattern on the front.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Can you to tell me measurement of the skirt/flap or whatever it's called - from the back of the seat to the window - if that makes sense

I measured the flap on the back of my seat yesterday Blue, it measures 325mm from the centre of the seat back to the middle of the flap. It has a metal bar with a loop bent into it on each end and it follows the curve of the rear parcel shelf - do you have one of these bars ?

Sorry Blacky been away & got home only to find my !!##** 'puter was history.
Thanks for the info & yes I do have one of those wires but not in best condition nor are the ones for the pillars.
Have you had enough of the isolation, red dust & heat ?
