Costs of interstate car transport

Hi,
Has anyone transported a car (EK to be specific) from WA to QLD?
I am interested to hear any (Horror) stories and guage if i should proceed with purchase of car.

Anyone know of a rough cost or can recomend a particular company?. That would be a great help

I know in the "Cars wanted" topic i joked i would drive a Fb or Ek from WA, but now faced with the prospect i am not sure an unknown Grey/Hydromatic combination would be the best or most reliable package to drive from WA to Brisbane.

Hi Strogger. I transported an HK Monaro from Sydney to Perth not long ago. The transport companies normally put vehicles on trains between Perth & Adelaide or vise versa. I had no problems at all, car arrived safe & well in Perth. The trip took five days & cost me $794.00. Kind regards, Steve

Strogger , try Adelaide Car Express - they took my EK from NSW to Kalgoorlie for $1200 about two years ago , should be cheaper from West to East .

A Customer of Mine, went to Perth for 4weeks holiday, put his vehicle on the train at Sydney and transported it all the way to Perth for only $250 he flew on the way but the return only cost him $90 for the vehicle but I think that was because he boarded the train as well. This option may be well worth looking into.
