Takes a bit longer if the Navy doesn't have a grey-motor harmonic balancer puller

     Yes Harv makes it hard without the puller, Torsional Vibration Damper weighs 1tonne flywheel 3 tonne, remove all the crank counter weights and have to split the block and lift it 1.2m to be able to slide the crank out the side.

Have it done by smoko Blacky

Going to pick up my HR cross member tomorrow from Albert, will post a couple of photos once I have it.

I think I've asked before but has anybody done the CRS coil over shock modification on an HR cross member, the VE Commodore independent rear end that's going into the Reverend is coil over so thinking of doing them for the front?? :wtf: :wtf:

Wasn't even aware they did one, is it a complete bolt in front end or basically a replace spring and shock with a new lower wishbone and upgraded shock mount type arrangement ?

Googled it - looks like the spring still sits in the HR spring pocket at the top and the "coil over" sits on the base of the shock which is bolted to an adapter on the lower wishbone ? Apart from the adjustability of the damper I cant really see the advantage ???

Hey Blacky if you don't think there is any benefit then I will save myself some money and not do it.

The only benefit you will get out the kit is that you will be able to lower the front of the car to what height you want. $895 Its a lot of money to pay just to lower the front of the car plus mods needed to fit the kit. cheers Gary.

That is a pretty cool feature. What about adjusting damping rate?

That as well, double adjustable.
A place for everything and everything in it's place, just can't remember where that place is.

So now I'm confused :econfused: (doesn't take much   ) do we think it is a good idea or not fellas, they way I see it the HR front end is an independent front end and by going Coil overs you get the advantage of adjustment with out the waiting time and massive cost of one of the Rod Tech or CRS or whoever independent front ends, I am a long way off needing to do this but you have to have a plan don't you :eh: :wtf:
