Don’t forget to space the lower housing away from the head so you can whip the cover off and play with the rocker preload every five minutes……

The aluminium plate that is the support bracket for the blower belt tensioner does a pretty good job of that Clay

Wires done and all put back together under the guard. Dash side completed except for one - ran out of green wire for the temp idiot light that I am going to put in the back of the head - that’s a 10 metre roll of green gone ImageImageImageImage

Engine side finished, waiting on a 12mm spacer for the rocker cover and I lent my alternator to a mate who needed one in a hurry for his hire car - a stretched 57 Chevy

Electric water pump controller all done bar the programming - leave that for the tuner to sort out.

Started playing around with the timing wheel on the harmonic balancer last night - its the only thing that has been off since last time it ran, moved it and it at least sounded like it wanted to go but still no, moved it again - 90 degrees at a time is the only adjustment there is on it - and same same.

Ran out of time so will have another go at it tonight - have emailed the bloke I bought the kit from to confirm where it should be at so fingers crossed for a fire up tonight.
