Great work Blacky, are you going to use an original screen or laminated to try to cut down?

Probably not Greg, with the lower roofline it won’t line up anyway , the join will be kept close to a fold to keep warpage down to a minimum

A bit more progress on this - most of the frame has been redone and the door frames modified to suit - it’s up to me now to grind down a windscreen so John can make the windscreen aperture and then the roof skin can go on.
Check the 2 pics below - you can see the difference to the roofline that is made by sliding the skin back

I’ve got a fairly good roof here. It has a bit of rust here and there in the frame. I’m about ready to take it to the tip. Happy to cut out the bit you need and bring over.

Clay, do you still have that roof cut or has it gone to become a Chery or a BYD or some other such horrible fate ???

  When you are done relaxing on the beach could you please send me a couple of pics of the front 18" of the roof skin ?? doesn't matter if the frame is rusty so long as the skin is good
