Will the whopper-stoppers go inside a 14" wheel, or do you need to run something larger?

Was always planning to go larger on this one Harv - I believe Jag wheels were 15" originally so not a big problem - biggest problem is can I run them as I don't want to use Jag brakes on the rear.

A question for the engineer.........

So balancing the caliper size or slaves will sort the brakes. I did have a chart with all dimensions of brake piston sizes but cant find it at the minute.
Brakes are a balancing act !!

Yeah I have a Jag diff that came with the front and as a job lot but I have advertised it for sale - not interested in trying to fit that behemoth underneath an EK - should check the piston diameter on it I guess before it disappears.

Yes they are a dana 44 very strong diff, i have one in a studebaker LSD factory.

The jag rear ends are pretty to look at !
I am interested in what you end up concocting with the front end, factory suspension seems to be the best performers for our mixed roads.

A little more work on the 2 door , modified the door inner so the door trim goes all the way to the floor


Welded up the seam in the front guards as well

Nice work Blacky - never thought about dropping the door trim. Is that to make the door feel not as long/skinny visually?

And welding up the guard seam! Have been planning to do that but started having second thoughts that maybe its a part of the charm of the car. It is such a weird body line, wonder why they never filled it in the first place. I'll sit on the fence for now.

I thought the same when I did the ute Scotty.

Saving some weight I suppose. Years ago a mate had this EK he cut metal out everywhere to lighten it. Had a GTS 186S and Saginaw box Volvo diff. It went.

Having a day on the 2 door today, changing the subframe out to double check dimensions. The original bolts came straight out surprisingly enough



Looking underneath it while pulling the bolts out - some of the welding I did , a quarter of a century ago , looks a bit average

Thats ok Blacky, you will be rewelding in a Brace under the hump, my engineer wanted that in place, you may be lucky and yours not notice.

Otherwise its looking great.

I have a hydro tunnel -VERY difficult to find over this side of the swamp , and was thinking about installing it rather than whats in there now, the jury is still out
